Wood and bicycles – a lifelong passion

The path which led me to design and construct wooden bicycles has really been the result of my lifelong passion. From a young age I was obsessed with cycling and was undeterred even by numerous falls and crashes. As a young boy, during the summers I was constantly in our neighbor’s workshop, endlessly cutting, sanding and carving wood. Since 1998, I have been competing in cycling and triathlon races. That is why I also moved to Mallorca, a cycling paradise. Here in my bicycle repair shop, several thousand bikes have passed through my hands. This has given me plenty of experience and ideas.

In 2013 I decided to build a wooden bicycle. I had one shot to do it and the bike had to be perfect. I owe a great deal of my success to the advice and comments of other bike mechanics, bike builders, professional cyclists, a national team trainer and a university professor with a passion for wood and mechanical engineering. It took a year but it was worth it. The wooden frame has surpassed all of my expectations.

It’s the Rolls-Royce of bicycles. And now you can ride it too.
